NAME WHAT WORKS

You don’t need to become a different parent.

You need to know what works when parenting gets hard.

A 6-week coaching experience for parents of preteens and teens who want less conflict, more confidence, and a stronger relationship with their child.

6 Weeks | Wednesday Evenings | 5:30-6:45 PST |Begins 9/30 | Live on Zoom

Parenting teens can make even very capable parents question themselves.

One minute, everything is fine.

The next, a simple question about homework has somehow become an international incident.

Should I push this or let it go?

Am I being too strict?

Am I being too lenient?

Do they need a consequence—or do they need my support?

Am I making this worse?

There is so much parenting advice available that you can become incredibly informed and somehow feel even less certain.

THIS ISN’T ABOUT PERFECT PARENTING

It’s about knowing what to do when parenting gets hard.

You don’t need a script for every parenting situation.

You need the ability to understand what’s happening, know what belongs to you, know what belongs to your child, and respond with confidence.

Over six weeks, we’ll work on the real situations happening in your home.

Your parenting. Your child. Your challenges.

The goal isn’t to eliminate every conflict with your teen.

The goal is to stop feeling so lost inside the conflict.

Imagine feeling more confident about…

When to step in-and when to step back

Know when your teen genuinely needs support and when they need room to struggle, problem-solve, and grow.

Letting your teen own their problems

Stop carrying homework, friendships, motivation and responsibilities that increasingly belong to them.

Holding boundaries without constant battles

Learn how to stay connected while still being the parent.

Influencing instead of controlling

Move from manager → guide → consultant as your child grows.

What to say when emotions are high

Respond to anger, shutdowns and defensiveness without adding fuel to the fire.

Trusting yourself

Stop replaying every interaction and wondering whether you handled it “right.”

BECAUSE SOMETIMES YOU DON’T NEED ANOTHER PARENTING BOOK.

You need somewhere to say:

“Okay. Here’s what happened last night. What do I do now?”

That is why I created this group.

Parents need information.

But we also need perspective, practice, support—and occasionally someone to remind us that no, everyone else's teenager has not magically become delightful and self-motivated.

You are not the only one navigating this.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO FIGURE ANYTHING OUT ALONE

01
WEEKLY COACHING

Six live, 75-minute coaching sessions where we work through real parenting challenges.

These are interactive sessions—not six weeks of me talking at you while you politely nod on Zoom.

02
PRIVATE SUPPORT

One private 1:1 coaching session with Ashley is included.

Use it for something personal, complicated, or simply something you would rather not work through in the group.

03
A SMALL COHORT

Limited to 10 families, so there is plenty of room for individual coaching, meaningful conversation, and real support.

Small enough that your questions and challenges won’t get lost in the group.

And large enough for you to hear the magical words:

“Wait…your kid does that too?”

What might we work on?

This group might be exactly what you need if…

  • You replay interactions and wonder what you should have done differently.

  • You are tired of reminding, nagging, negotiating or escalating.

  • You want your child to become independent—but letting go is harder than it sounds.

  • You worry that boundaries will hurt your relationship.

  • Or you have prioritized the relationship so much that boundaries have gotten fuzzy.

  • You understand parenting concepts intellectually but can't always access them when everyone is upset

  • You want to enjoy your child again instead of feeling like every interaction has become something to manage.

20+ years in education | Master Certified Life Coach | Parent & Teen Coach | Author of Parenting in the Third Stage

I have spent more than two decades working with children, teenagers, parents and families—as an educator, parent and teen coach, family advisor, and mother of two daughters.

For years, I taught middle school.

Which means teenagers don't particularly scare me.

I actually really like them.

Hi, I’m Ashley.

What I have seen again and again is that parents usually aren't struggling because they don't care enough.

They're struggling because they care so much that it becomes difficult to know when to step in, when to let go, when to hold firm and when to simply stay close.

My job is not to turn you into the perfect parent.

My job is to help you feel more confident being your child's parent.

What parents say about working with me

She helps you remember what's most important with and for your child. She is a breath of fresh air.

  • Katy

Today I met with Ashley and I was quickly relieved to feel like I had a safe place to share my thoughts and feelings about my teen.

  • Lisa M

Each week she offered fresh insights and perspectives that led to a deeper connection with my son.

  • Suzanne

Her guidance and support should reach every parent of a teenager!

  • Nikki

Your parenting role is supposed to change.

When children are little, we manage much of their world.

As they move through adolescence, our job gradually changes.

We guide.

We influence.

We remain available.

But increasingly, we allow them to paddle their own boat.

This cohort will help you understand where your child is developmentally—and how your parenting role can evolve with them.
