Sound Familiar?

You've Tried Everything. So Why Does Nothing Seem to Stick?

You love your teenager. You're showing up, trying new approaches, and doing everything you can to help. But somehow, you keep finding yourselves in the same place.

01

Every conversation becomes an argument.

You try to connect, but your teen shuts down, gets defensive, or tells you that you don't understand.

02

You're second-guessing everything.

Was that boundary too harsh? Too lenient? Are you helping them grow or pushing them farther away?

03

You miss how things used to feel.

You still love your teen fiercely, but the closeness you once shared feels harder to find.

04

The worry never really turns off.

You worry about motivation, friends, mental health, choices, and what all of this means for their future.

You're not failing. You're caught in a pattern that hasn't changed yet.

And changing that pattern takes more than another consequence, another lecture, or another parenting tip.

A Different Way to See the Problem

What If Your Teen Isn't the Only One Who Needs Support?

When our teenagers struggle, our instinct is to direct every available resource toward them. Find them a coach. A therapist. A tutor. A strategy.

And sometimes those supports are exactly what they need.

But if the same patterns continue at home, everyone may find themselves returning to familiar reactions.

It's Not Always About One Person.

Imagine your teen feels misunderstood and pulls away.

You become worried and push harder to get through to them.

They become defensive. You feel disrespected. The conversation escalates.

And suddenly, you're having the same argument you've had twenty times before.

Everyone is reacting. No one feels heard.

It's not necessarily anyone's fault. It's a pattern that can develop between people who care deeply about each other.

The Family Reaction Cycle

1. Teen feels misunderstood
2. Parent pushes harder
3. Teen becomes defensive
4. Conflict escalates
The Pattern We Can Change

Each person's reaction influences what happens next. Changing one response can begin to change the cycle.

The Goal Isn't to Fix One Person. It's to Change the Pattern.

We don't have to wait for your teenager to become more cooperative before something can change. We can begin with understanding our responses, building new tools, and creating healthier ways of relating to one another.

Imagine the Possibilities

What Could Feel Different 12 Weeks From Now?

Not a perfect teenager. Not a family that never argues. Something much more meaningful.

01

Less Reacting. More Understanding.

Instead of immediately assuming the worst, you begin recognizing what's underneath the behavior and responding with greater intention.

02

Fewer Power Struggles. Better Conversations.

You learn how to respond when emotions run high without turning every disagreement into a battle.

03

More Confidence for Your Teen.

Your teen has opportunities to develop their voice, independence, problem-solving skills, and sense of capability.

04

Clearer Boundaries. Stronger Relationships.

Your family develops healthier ways to navigate expectations, disagreements, and repair after difficult moments.

05

More Trust in Yourself.

You begin to feel more grounded in your parenting decisions instead of constantly second-guessing them. You won't always have the perfect answer, but you'll have better tools for finding your way forward.

The Goal Isn't to Control Your Teenager.

It's to build the understanding, skills, and relationships that make growth possible.

The Name What Works Approach

Real Change Begins With Understanding. And Grows Through Practice.

When families are stuck, more information isn't always the answer. We need to understand what's happening, learn to move from automatic reactions to intentional responses, and make those changes part of everyday life. That's why my coaching approach is built around three connected pillars.

01
Understand

The Why

See what's beneath the behavior.

Before we focus on changing behavior, we explore what's driving it.

We look at emotions, developmental needs, beliefs, expectations, and the relationship patterns that influence how everyone responds.

Instead of asking, "How do I make my teen listen?" we begin asking, "What's happening between us, and what might we be missing?"

02
Respond

The How

Move from reaction to response.

So often, our automatic reactions come from fear, frustration, or the need to regain control.

We learn to recognize those moments, regulate our emotions, pause, and choose responses that reflect our values rather than our stress.

Together, we build skills in communication, healthy boundaries, problem-solving, and repairing difficult moments.

Instead of immediately reacting to disrespect, we learn how to stay grounded, understand what's happening, and respond in ways that support both connection and accountability.

03
Integrate

The When

Turn new responses into a new way of being.

Knowing what to do in a coaching session is one thing. Living it in everyday family life is another.

We practice applying what we've learned until awareness, connection, and intentional responses become a more consistent part of how we relate to one another.

This is where new approaches begin to replace old habits, helping everyone build greater confidence and independence.

Instead of remembering a new approach only when things go wrong, it begins to shape how we listen, communicate, set boundaries, and repair our relationships every day.

One Framework. Personalized to Your Family.

Sometimes coaching begins with a parent. Sometimes with a teenager or young adult. Sometimes we work together as a family.

We determine who participates based on your goals and needs, while looking at the relationships and patterns that influence everyday family life.

The Why, The How, and The When aren't separate stages. They're three connected parts of the work we do together. We move between understanding, responding, and integrating new ways of relating throughout our coaching experience.

Why Twelve Weeks?

Because Knowing What to Do and Actually Doing It Are Two Different Things.

A single conversation can give you a new perspective. But changing the way you respond when life gets difficult takes practice.

I can give you a helpful parenting strategy in ten minutes. You might even try it successfully tonight.

But what happens next week when your teen pushes back? When you're exhausted? When your partner responds differently? When the old frustration returns before you've had time to think?

That's the part of change we don't talk about enough.

Learning something new is one thing. Making it part of how you live and relate to one another is another.

That's why I've designed this coaching experience around twelve weeks. Not because your family needs another commitment, but because meaningful change deserves time to be practiced, reflected upon, and supported.

01

Understand the Patterns

We explore what's happening beneath the surface so you can recognize the dynamics influencing your family.

02

Practice and Adjust

You try new responses in real situations, bring your experiences back to coaching, and make adjustments with guidance and support.

03

Build Consistency

With continued practice, new approaches have the opportunity to become more natural parts of everyday family life.

This Isn't Another Thing to Add to Your To-Do List.

I know family schedules are full. Between work, school, activities, responsibilities, and everything else you're managing, finding more time can feel impossible.

But we're not creating an entirely new set of challenges to work on. We're using the conversations, conflicts, decisions, and everyday moments already happening in your home.

Your real life becomes the place where you practice.

Our coaching sessions provide space to reflect, problem-solve, adjust, and recognize what's beginning to work.

Twelve weeks of guidance. A lifetime of opportunities to use what you've learned.

3

Teen Coaching Sessions

A supportive space for your teen to explore challenges, recognize strengths, develop confidence, and build practical skills.

3

Parent Coaching Sessions

Understand family patterns, explore your own reactions, strengthen communication, and learn new ways to support your teen.

3

Family Meetings

Come together to listen, share perspectives, work through challenges, and practice healthier ways of communicating.

3

Flexible Coaching Sessions

Additional support where your family needs it most, whether that's individual coaching, parent guidance, or another family meeting.

This is an example, not a required schedule. Your twelve total sessions are allocated collaboratively based on your family's needs, goals, and readiness to participate.

An Important Thing to Know

What If Your Teen Doesn't Want Coaching?

That's okay. We can still begin.

One of the biggest misconceptions about helping a struggling teenager is that the teenager must be willing to participate before anything can change.

But parents have an important role in the family dynamic. Changing how you respond, communicate, and set boundaries can begin to shift the interactions at home.

Your teen doesn't have to be ready for coaching for you to begin doing things differently.

And if your teenager becomes interested in participating later, we can explore how to include them.

Why Family Meetings Matter

So often, family members are trying to solve the same problem from completely different perspectives. Everyone wants to be understood, but nobody feels heard.

Family meetings give us a supportive opportunity to slow down, put the problem in the middle, and explore solutions together.

Instead of one person being responsible for fixing everything, family members can learn to communicate, collaborate, and take responsibility for their part.

It's not about deciding who's right or wrong. It's about learning how to move forward together.

The Person Behind the Process
Your professional photograph will go here.

I've Been on Both Sides of the Teenage Years.

Hi, I'm Ashley Radzat.

I've spent more than twenty years working with children, teenagers, and families. I've also raised two daughters of my own.

I've sat across from teenagers who feel misunderstood and parents who love their children deeply but no longer know how to reach them.

I've seen what happens when we focus entirely on changing a teenager's behavior without understanding the relationships and patterns surrounding them.

Your teenager isn't a problem to be solved. And you aren't a parent who needs to be fixed.

But sometimes the ways we've learned to communicate, respond, and relate to one another are no longer working.

My approach combines adolescent development, relationship-centered education, and practical coaching strategies to help families move forward with greater understanding and confidence.

I don't teach you how to control your teenager. I help you understand them, recognize what's working, and create the conditions for growth.
